CMP is a nonprofit Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) service organization in ICs, Si-Photonics, 3D-ICs and MEMS, Smart Power, for prototyping and low volume production. There is a great interest in designing ICs using the ID-Xplore™ tool developed by Intento Design. Entering into partnership with CMP is a win-win for the two parties; as CMP distributes the design rules for each technology and the standard cell libraries for each specific software tool (design kits) free of charge and supports several CAD software tools for both Industrial Companies and Universities.
CMP will serve as a gateway interface to benchmark analog design exploration on the top chip manufacturers design environments, said Jean-Christophe Crébier, director of CMP.
In addition, CMP works to enable prototypes fabrication on industrial processes at very attractive costs and offers it great technical expertise in providing MPW and related services for Universities, Research Laboratories and Industrial companies’ prototyping. Evaluation of ID-Xplore™ in remote mode will be available for institutions which have cadence IC running on their systems and at least one of the CMP – distributed design kits.
